Join us in welcoming Carlo Deltetto on Wednesday, June 6th at 8:15 PM with a 5 course dinner featuring 5 wines from AZIENDA DELTETTO in Roero, Piemonte
At this point in our wine journey, most of us are more than familiar with Nebbiolo from Barolo. Barolo continues to win the hearts of wine novices and seasoned Sommeliers alike, yet its fame overshadows Italy’s other noteworthy wine regions.
Further north in Piemonte, the sandy soils of the Roero are also home to the native Nebbiolo. The Deltetto family has made Roero their home since 1953. Now the fourth generation prepares to take on the family’s lineage of wine-making.
Carlo Deltetto, third generation winemaker, will walk us through an Arneis, a native white varietal to Piemonte, and the various Nebbiolo of the winery; We will taste the elegant and perfumed reds of Roero against the more muscular Barolo of Monforte d’Alba.
With Chef Jame Kelly’s Piemontese menu to go along, we anticipate a deliciously educational evening capped off by a bubbly surprise!
